Nature Stewardship Pilot | Birmingham & Black Country Wildlife Trust
November - December 2024

I am working in a freelance capacity with the Wildlife Trust on their new ‘Nature Stewardship Pilot’ an opportunity to connect arts practice with live conservation work. I will be maintaining a record of my time participating in Trust activities through the Dudley Road to Recoverey project, delivering a workshop and a walk and exploring dialogues between the trust and local communities. I am keeping a record of my experiences via substack.


The Printing Room | Multistory
October 2024 - Janurary 2025

Over the next few months I will be creating a new piece of writing for The Printing Room Multistory’s  yearly jounral of artist writing. In its second year, this edition pulls inspiriation from their Green Roots programme in order to explore nature writing through a multi-vocal lens. My proposed text is envisaged as part fiction, part anecdote upon reproduction and death in inhereted landscapes.  


Gentle Gestures | Makings Journal Launch
October 2024

Publication of article ‘Gathering Press: Towards Environmentally Resonant Pedagogies’ in a special edition of Makings Journal, edited by the Gentle Gestures editorial team. This issue, titled Gentle Gestures: Contexts, Spaces and Approaches Beyond the Academy aims to consider how informal, alternative, fluid or gentle positions of learning (re)articulate where, how and with education can happen.


Deveron Projects Residency | Up Projects
23 - 29 September 2024

As part of the 2023 Constellations programme, the cohort has been offered a week-long residency at Deveron Projects. We will be responding to the local context of Huntly, Aberdeenshire by focusing on making specific connections to the area through devised activities and workshops.

The residency will be an opportunity for the cohort to extend the collaborative work and peer to peer learning undertaken during the Constellations programme, whilst engaging in a programme of activities devised by Deveron Projects around the complexities of "community".



The Art of Resistance | National Associate of Fine Art Education
4 September 2024

NAFAE’s annual conference is taking place in Canterbury, Kent, and will focus on innovative, disruptive and/ or alternative ecologies of practice that exist within and beyond the Art School. The S-Matterings  group will be presenting recent findings and posing questions about approaches to working with students in the Fine Art studio.



Green Roots in Tipton | Multistory & Energy Saving Trust
16 - 23 August 2024

Green Roots is Multistory’s community arts and cultural programme that invites Sandwell residents to explore how we might build environmentally resilient communities through our local, natural and urban environments. I have been invited to work with Gathering Press in Tipton, to create workshops which initiate climate conversations with young people from Life in the Community group and the Bangladeshi Womens Association at Tipton Musilim Center.
