MAKE MEADOWS is a design generated for screen printing with others on urban meadow sites as an acknowledgement of the role we need to play in re-establishing vital habitats for wildlife.
Since the 1930s, over 97% of the UK’s wildflower meadows have been lost, making meadows one of our rarest habitats. Providing shelter and food, these are vital sites for pollinators and for supporting wider ecosystems.
The design is made up of key meadow plants, featuring; Yellow Rattle, Field Scabious, Lesser Knapweed, Ox Eye Daisy and Bee Orchid. Participants are invited to select paper, inks and hand print their poster and to share this as artwork and act of advocacy.
